How does the Tesla Powerwall work?
A homes solar panels capture sunlight and then convert that into usable energy to power utilities and appliances. What energy isn’t immediately used by the home or business then gets stored in the Powerwall so that it can be used later when the sun isn’t as strong or if the power goes out. When the Powerwall is fully charged, any extra energy from the solar panels is sent to the grid.
Do I have to get a Powerwall when I go solar?
A Tesla Powerwall is not a mandatory add-on to a solar system, the Powerwall can function independent of a solar installation. However, by taking advantage of the sun’s energy, plus utilizing energy storage, you can greatly increase your savings, decrease your dependency on the utility and protect your home from grid outages and become energy independent.

The number of Powerwalls you will need depends on how much energy you
