The Duke Energy PowerPair Incentive

The Duke Energy PowerPair program offers substantial savings for eligible North Carolina customers.

Solar Panel Incentive

Customers who install a qualifying solar PV system with energy storage may receive up to $3,600

Battery Backup Incentive

In addition, customers who install a battery with their system could be eligible for up to $5,400.

Monthly Bill Credits

Customers who enroll in Duke’s battery control program may qualify to receive additional monthly bill credits.

Program Capacity Update

The PowerPair program is limited to specific capacity by region. Duke Energy Progress (DEP) has now reached full enrollment, and individuals still interested can be added to a waitlist. Duke Energy Carolinas (DEC) currently has space available in both Cohorts A and B. Capacity is limited and enrollment is handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Installations must be completed within 90 days of approval.

Customers in Cohort B receive additional monthly bill credits in exchange for allowing Duke to operate their battery during peak demand events.
