My wife and I had been interested in solar energy for quite some time. However, we didn’t trust companies that randomly show up at your door. A couple months back, Duke Energy Carolinas sent us a list of contractors for solar systems. Renu was on the list and by far stood out as the best option for us. After a very thorough demonstration, we decided solar would work well for us and Renu was our preferred installer. Two things really reinforced our decision to use Renu. A code inspector I was talking with about the project said Renu would be their personal choice if going with solar. About a month after signing our original agreement, one of our Renu reps contacted me about redoing our agreement. The cost of materials had decreased so they were reducing our monthly payment by $32. I really appreciated their integrity because they could have kept the contract as it was and we would have never known any different. The project managers keep you really informed of next steps and answer any questions you have along the way. The installers were just as professional and worked hard to get the project completed on time. The last day they worked til sunset installing the panels in full sun with a heat index of 100+ degrees. All were respectful and very friendly. This was truly a turnkey job for us. The other great part about Renu is they handle obtaining all needed permits and the applications with Duke Energy. Renu paid for all permits and applications. I know those costs are worked into our monthly payment, but I can say our monthly payment is less than our average Duke Energy bill last year. If you are considering solar, I highly recommend checking with Renu Energy to see if it is right for you. For some, solar doesn’t make financial sense. However, for us, it is a wise investment that also includes a backup battery to use overnight or anytime the grid is down. Daniel came to our house when he said he would, was very pleasant and was knowledgeable about the system we wanted to install.  He assessed our property's ability to fulfill our needs and then started the process of RENU installing the system. Daniel was our first contact with Renu Energy.   We found him to be informative with rational logical suggestions on our proposed solar project. His input and availability were 2 of the factors which led us to decide to use Renu.  Daniel kept us in the loop from initial evaluation thru the completed installation which was important to us since there were a lot of “moving parts” so to speak Highly recommend Daniel, highly recommend Renu Energy!
